Apply online for an Irish Residence Permit

If you are not a citizen from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you need permission to enter Ireland.  

If you want to stay for more than 3 months you must have permission to remain and register your presence in Ireland with Immigration Service Delivery (ISD). This is how you get an Irish Residence Permit (IRP).

Since 13 January 2025, all applicants registering for the first time must book an appointment online to register at the ISD Registration Office, Burgh Quay, Dublin.

You should get an appointment within 2 or 3 weeks.
